Ngoc said cooperative development ties Ninh Binh and France have become closer and practical in the past few years, achieving important outcomes. Ninh Binh received effective assistance from the French Government and French Development Agency (AFD) in coping with climate change.
To date, AFD has supported the building of three irrigation projects in Yen Mo district, construction of Kim Dai sluice in Kim Son district and upgrade of Phat Diem urban infrastructure in Kim Son district.
Ngoc hoped the ambassador and AFD would deploy more projects to improve infrastructure for coping with climate change in Ninh Binh in the future.
In the coming time, a delegation of Ninh Binh will pay a working visit to France to learn and seek cooperation in different fields, especially in preserving and upholding cultural heritages.
Therefore, Ninh Binh needs support from the ambassador in connecting Ninh Binh with French localities as well as providing information about Ninh Binh's potential and strengths to French investors and businesses, thus opening up cooperative opportunities between the two sides, he added.
The ambassador spoke highly of Ninh Binh's socio-economic achievements and showed his impression of the province's outstanding landscape and historical values.
France is willing to support and help Vietnam in general and Ninh Binh in particular for mutual development, Brochet stressed.
