Ngoc and his entourage visited and checked the facilities of Reed Hotel where delegates, coaches and athletes will stay during their Karate competitions in the province. They also examined the province's gymnasium, where Karate matches will be held.
As scheduled, Ninh Binh will host the Karate competitions, as part of SEA Games 31. It is estimated to see the participation of around 280 athletes coming from nine regional countries.The provincial Department of Culture and Sports has sketched out functional rooms, set up competition areas, purchased and rented Professional equipment to serve the events.
Ngoc acknowledged and highly appreciated the sense of responsibility of relevant departments, sectors, localities and units in the preparation work.He stressed that Ninh Binh considers the hosting of the SEA Games competitions as a significant political, cultural and diplomatic event, and a good chance for the province to promote tourism.
He asked the Department of Culture and Sports, the Department of Health, the Department of Public Security and relevant units to review their plans, facilities, conditions, environmental hygiene, COVID-19 prevention and control work and medical equipment.
The official also requested the Department of Culture and Sports to further boost the communication work and increase decorations, thus leaving good impression among international and domestic athletes and spectators.
