Chairman of Ninh Binh provincial people's committee attends ceremony recognising Yen Thang commune as advanced new-style rural area

After 8 years of implementing the National Target Programme on New-style Rural Area Building, Yen Thang has applied many dynamic and creative ways of doing that are suitable to the actual conditions of the locality, thus gaining positive achievements.

By the end of 2021, per capita income is 56.5 million VND per year, there is no poorhouse according to the multi dimensional poverty standard. All main roads in communes and connecting communes have been asphalted or concreted. The rate of trained workers is nearly 61 percent. 

Especially, the locality pays attention to increasing incomes for local farmers, developing specialised-farming areas and cooperatives, building links in producing and selling agricultural products, supporting farmers in applying scientific and technical advances into production, building brands for farm produce with many OCOP products.

The provincial People's Committee took the occasion to present Yen Thang with 200 million VND (8,600 USD) for the construction of local welfare development projects while the commune also honoured organisations and individuals who have made great contributions to the new-style rural building campaigns.
