On the occasion of the War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27), leaders of central departments and local government organized a wide range of activities to express gratitude to war invalids, martyrs, policy beneficiary families, people rendering great services to the nation, and some war invalid nursing centers in Ninh Binh province.
On July 22, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa and Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam paid a visit and presented relief to war invalids in Nho Quan war invalid nursing center.

The same day, a delegation of the union handed relief to three Vietnamese Heroic Mothers - Cao thi Hoi, Nguyen Thi Thieu and Dinh Thi He - in La Phu ward, Ninh Khang commune, Hoa Lu district. On this occasion, provincial leaders, representatives of authorities and mass organizations visited and presented relief to thousands of war invalids, martyrs, people rendering great services to the nation, and Vietnamese heroic mothers in various localities.

Provincial leaders also visited eight war invalid nursing centres, including four in Ninh Binh and another four in the provinces of Ha Nam, Bac Ninh and Bac Giang. On this occasion, State President Truong Tan Sang also sent nearly 32,000 relief packages with a total value of more than 6.5 billion VND (306,531 USD) to beneficiaries in the province.
