Campaign launched to clean up sea in Kim Son district

At the launching ceremony, leaders of Kim Son district called on local agencies, sectors, units, administrations at all levels and people to disseminate information and well implement the Government's strategy on sustainable exploitation and use of maritime resources and protection of the maritime environment by 2030 with a vision until 2050, the Law on Environmental Protection 2020 and other legal documents related to environmental protection.

They were urged to giving priority to using friendly-environmental technologies and products; restricting the use of disposable plastic products; collecting and classifing garbage and plastic waste at source, especially in the district's coastal areas.

At the same time, it is necessary to enhance the management and control of sea environment pollution, and encourage safe and sustainable fishing.

Right after the launching ceremony, hundreds of cadres, soldiers and young people collected waste and cleaned up the coastal area around Con Noi and rivermouth in Kim Dong, Kim Trung and Kim Hai communes.
