Thanh, who is also standing deputy secretary of the Ninh Binh Party Committee, expressed his joy to welcome the delegation and briefed the Cambodian guests on the province's socio-economic development.
He said he hopes the visit would foster the exchange of experiences and lessons, mutual support in developing women organisations for equality and advancement of women as well as comprehensive collaboration between the two countries.
For her part, Men Sam An thanked Ninh Binh for the warm welcome to her and her delegation. She spoke highly of the achievements recorded by Ninh Binh over the past time, and said she hopes the province will reap significant results in economic, social- cultural, and security- defense work.
The traditional solidarity, friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the CWPD and the Vietnam Women's Union (VWU) at both central and local levels will be further strengthened, she affirmed.
During their visit, the Cambodian delegation also had a working session with the Ninh Binh Women Union and its chapter in Ninh Hai commune, Hoa Lu district on issues related to women's work and advancement.
The delegation concluded the visit with a fact-finding tour to several households in the commune where a large number of women pioneered in running successful household businesses while completing their housework.
