Ben Moi bridge connecting Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh to be completed in October

According to the Department of Construction Investment Management under the Ministry of Transport, the project has not been completed as scheduled due to hindrances in site clearance.

Currently, construction units are accelerating the progress of remaining items.

The road leading to the bridge in Nam Dinh province is expected to be completed next week.

While the road leading to the bridge in Ninh Binh province is in the process of handling the weak ground. 

The work is part of a project on upgrading weak bridges and building new ones on national highways in the first phase, using loans from the Republic of Korean (RoK)'s Economic Development Cooperation Fund (EDCF).

The project is constructed by a joint venture between Ilsung Construction Co., Ltd. of the Republic of Korea and Thang Long Company.

The project has total investment of nearly 361 billion VND (15.5 million USD), and is carried out within 24 months.

The main bridge has a total length of over 648 meters and is designed to have two lanes. The road leading to the bridge in Nam Dinh province is 890 meters while the other in Ninh Binh province is 1,700 meters long.
