Though Bai Dinh Pagoda was completed only in 2010, it has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Many important events were held at Bai Dinh Pagoda like the United Nations day of Vesak 2014, the international conference on spiritual tourism for sustainable development in 2013, the grand procession of Lord Buddha's relics from India to Vietnam in 2010, etc.The 700-hectare complex holds many records in Vietnam and also in Asia like the biggest Buddha Shakyamuni statue in Asia, the biggest bronze Trikaya (the three bodies of Buddhas) in Vietnam, the largest Ngoc (Pearl) Well in Vietnam, the biggest bronze bell in Vietnam, the longest corridor with 500 Arhat statues, the largest number of Bodhi trees in Vietnam, etc. Besides, the pagoda also houses and preserves many precious relics of Buddha…The top 10 list also features other outstanding spiritual places in Vietnam, namely the One-Pillar Pagoda and the Huong Pagoda (Hanoi), Yen Tu mountain landscape (Quang Ninh), Thien Mu Pagoda (Thua Thien -Hue), Da Lat Truc Lam Zen Monastery (Lam Dong), Statue of Jesus Christ in (Ba Ria-Vung Tau), Ba Den Mountain, Cao Dai Church (Tay Ninh), and Ba Chua Xu Temple (Chau Doc - An Giang).
