On May 12, Counsellor from the Autralian Embassy in Vietnam Nadia Krivetz, had a working session with Ninh Binh authorities to examine the implementation of the Australian Government's Direct Aid Program (DAP) on building household-based waste disposal systems in the locality.
The Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee, Dinh Van Dien, and representatives from the local Women Union participated in the event.Nadia Krivetz said the project, which is one of the13 community development projects funded by the Australian Government in northern Vietnam,will be completed in 2015 with a total aid package worth AUD 230.000.Currently, the Australian Embassy in Hanoi is working with the provincial Women Union to provide training courses on environmental protection and waste treatment facility construction for 100 households in Lac Van commune, Nho Quan district. The project is scheduled to finish by June, 2015.
On this occasion, Krivetz thanked Ninh Binh for its cooperation and expressed her wish to further cooperate with the province in other projects.
