ASEAN photo and documentary exhibition opens in Ninh Binh

Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan, Head of the ASEAN information and communication steering committee Nguyen Truong Son, representatives from foreign embassies in Vietnam, and local leaders attended the opening ceremony.

The exhibition was jointly held by the Center for Press and International Communication Cooperation (CPI) and the Ninh Binh provincial department of information and communications.

On display are over 300 photos and 60 documentary films which were selected from the 2010 photography and documentary film festival and the 2013 Photography and Documentary Film Festival on Environmental Protection and Climate Change in ASEAN, and the 2015 Photography and Documentary Film Festival on ethnics, launched by the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC).

Chairman of the Ninh Binh provincial People's Committee Dinh Van Dien said that it is an honour for the locality to host the exhibition, pledging that the local authorities will extensively promote the exhibition among its local population to raise their knowledge and awareness of the ASEAN member countries.

Also at the opening ceremony, MIC Minister Truong Minh Tuan presented a series of the exhibits to Ninh Binh leaders.

The exhibition will run until August 31^st.
