According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the sector's November export revenue hit US$2.42 billion, up 1.5% from November 2012.
Shipments of rice and coffee have declined, but timber and fishery exports have maintained steady growth.
Vietnam exported 6.29 million tonnes of rice in the first eleven months of 2013, grossing US$2.78 billion, down 18.8% against the same period last year.
Coffee exports also fell by a sharp 24.8% to 2.51 billion in the January-November period.
In contrast, fishery exports brought in US$6.11 billion, up 9.1%, and timber products posted a strong growth of 15.8% to reach US$5.12 billion.
As for rubber, the export volume rose by 5.4% to 955,000 tonnes, but revenue dropped 12.2% to US$2.24 billion, owing to falling prices.
