The figure released by the forecast of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD).Specifically, wood and wooden products bring impressive export value in the first quarter and April.
Of this, its exports in April are estimated at USD875 million, bringing the total for the four months to USD3.27 billion, a year-on-year rise of 17.8%.
MARD said commodities seeing impressive growth in export value this month are: rubber, USD599 million (up 14.1%); tea, USD62 million (14%); and fruits and vegetables, USD1.4 billion.
Meanwhile, cashew and pepper exports see rise in volume but decrease in value. Cashew enjoys a 4.7% increase in volume and 13.3% reduction in value (USD922 million), and pepper has a 21.4% surge in volume but its value drops 6% (USD288 million).
Fishery still maintains growth impetus with an export value estimated at USD2.48 billion, up 2.4%; including tra fish shipment at USD635 million, up 4.3% and shrimp of all kinds at USD913 million.
