The total export revenue of agricultural, forestry and fishery products reached US$30.86 billion, up US$3.06 billion (equivalent to 11.2%) over 2013, while the rate of forest coverage increased 0.6% to 41.5%. The number of communes meeting the new-style rural area building criteria increased by 718.
The ratio of added value to the sector's production value rose from 64.7% in 2013 to 67.8% this year.
The sector sets a target for 3.5 - 3.7% growth in production value from 2014 with the farming, breeding, forestry and fishing industry to grow by 2.5 - 2.8%, 2.8 - 3.2%, 6 - 6.5% and 6 - 6.5%, respectively.
The agro-forestry-fishery exports are expected to hit US$32 billion and the rate of forest coverage targets to reach 41.5%.
