So far, authorities and agencies at all levels and local residents have made contributions to preserving Trang An heritage value effectively.
Right after Trang An being recognised as a World cultural and natural heritage by UNESCO, Ninh Binh authority has issued documents on preserving and promoting the heritage values to relevant agencies, localities and people.
Mr Bui VanManh, Vice Director of the Trang An management board said "Managing and protecting Trang An heritage sustainably and effectively are requirements of UNESCO relating to Plan for heritage protection".
Accordingly, Ninh Binh has been implementing numerous activities, such as establishing a Steering committee for conservation and promotion of Trang An heritage; issuing temporary regulations on construction inside the heritage area; marking the heritage'score and buffer zones; popularizing the values of heritage to local people; cooperating with relevant agencies to build a master plan on heritage management.
From now till 2018, Ninh Binh will work with scientists from the Vietnam Institute of Archaeology, and Cambrigde University, and Queens Univesity (the UK) to do research and publish works in archaeology, geology, and geomorphology pertaining the area.
Besides, local authority and people will focus on revitalizing traditional festivals and crafts to diversify tourism products.
The province will cooperate actively with the local and foreign news agencies and press outlets to strengthen the promotion of values of the heritage and new tourism products to attract visitors.
In particular, it will pay special attention to conservation work in Hoa Lu citadel, Trang AnTam Coc Bich Dong landscape and Hoa Lu forest, he said.
Building new houses, raising cattle, hunting for wild animals, using and disposing toxic chemicals inside heritage are are banned, Manh added.
He said the cooperation of relevant departments, agencies, authorities and local residents in heritage conservation helps to raise awareness in preserving, protecting and promoting the heritage values associated with sustainable development, biodiversity protection, and scientific and technological applications in heritage management and protection.
