Accordingly, 725,000 laborers were employeddomestically, equal to 98.6% of the same period last year and 57,000 ones were sent abroad, a year-on-year increase of 18.3%.
The number of laborers consulted and introduced to jobs at centers reached more than 1.46 million, of whom 32.2% found jobs.
In the first six months of this year, job placement centers organized 560 transactions, attracting 25-30 enterprises and 400-450 laborers per transaction.
To develop the labor market and create more jobs for laborers, the MOLISA will strengthen research and forecast of labor demands, enhance consultancy and orientation activities and organize more job placement fairs, said DeputyMinister of the MOLISA Doan MauDiep.
Regarding labor export issues, the ministry will launch measures to maintain and develop overseas labor export and realize support policies for guest workers.
According to the General Statistics Office, the proportion of unemployment in the first quarter attained 2.2%, including 3.13% in urban areas and 1.73% in rural areas.
The proportion of trained laborers in the first half is estimated at 57.6%.
