22nd Congress of Ninh Binh province's Party Organisation opens

In her opening speech, Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said the Congress will review the implementation of the Resolution adopted at the 21st Congress (2015-2020 tenure) and set out orientations, targets, tasks and an action programme to realise the Resolution of the 22nd Congress (2020-2025 tenure).

It was reported at the Congress that amid difficulties and challenges, the provincial Party Organisation has instructed localities, agencies, sectors and branches to complete targets set at the previous Congress.

In the past five years, Ninh Binh has fulfilled 13 out of 15 goals set by the 21st Congress. 

Particularly, the province's GRDP has grown by 8.03 percent per year, higher than the average figure of the whole nation. The economic structure has changed positively, in which the industry and service sectors account for 88.3 percent. The province's industrial production saw annual average growth of 22.03 percent.

The target of building new-style rural areas has been accomplished almost two years ahead of schedule. State budget collection was 3.6-folder higher than that of the previous tenure.

Cultural and social affairs have seen much progress, while the material and spiritual lives of people have been improved and national defence, political security and social order have been maintained.

The province has striven to turn itself into a tourism hub of the whole country and become a high-ranking province in the  Red River Delta by 2030.

The Congress is scheduled to set out six tasks and solutions to fulfill the above targets.
