The 16th contest, which was jointly held by Vietnam Television and the Ninh Binh Peoples Committee, saw the participation of 32 outstanding teams from20 universities and colleges around the country.
The contest this year is themed "The landing disk", inspired by Tosenkyo- a traditional game of Japan.
The contest also serves as a national qualifier for the ABU Asia-Pacific Robocon contest held by the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union, which aims to nurture knowledge and encourage creativity in researching advanced technology among university students.
The winner will represent Vietnam at the ABU Robocon in Tokyo, Japan in August.
The 12matches in Group A and B took place following the opening ceremony.
The event will conclude on May 14.
