Addressing the opening ceremony, Secretary of the Ninh Binh provincial Party Committee Nguyen Thi Thanh expressed her joy and honor to coordinate with the Vietnam Union of Friendship organizationsinorganisingthe tenth Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival.
She highlighted the long lasting Vietnam-India relationship, which was fostered by generations of Vietnamese leaders and people.
The robust multi-dimensional cooperation between Vietnam and India in recent years has proved the broad, comprehensive and effective relationship between the two countries, Thanh stressed.
She also expressed her hope that Ninh Binh would set up multi-faceted cooperation with other localities and businesses of India in the coming time.
Later, Mrs Nguyen Phương Nga, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations said that the 10th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival is a chance for people of both countries to review the solidarity, friendship and mutual support and propose measures to deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership.
On behalf of the Indian delegation, Mr Pallab Sengupta, Politburo member of the Communist Party of India and General Secretary of the All India Peace and Solidarity Organisation (AIPSO) sent the best wishes to Vietnamese people, and said that he was happy to see Vietnam's socio-economic achievements as well as the sound relationship between Vietnam and India in the past few years.

In particular, Vietnam and India became strategic partners in 2007 and elevated their relationship to a comprehensive strategic partnership in 2016, marking a remarkable milestone in their relationship.
The 10th Vietnam-India People's Friendship Festival is a chance for both countries' leaders to discuss mutual interests and issues.
During the festival, many art programmes were performed by Indian and Vietnamese artists.Prior to the opening ceremony, the Indian delegates visited Trang An landscape.
