100 Vietnamese top products and services brand honoured

The event was held jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee, the Ministry of Information and Communication, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The award aimed to honour outstanding businesses operating in industrial manufacturing and trade services that effectively responded to the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods' by the Politburo.

Among 300 entries, the organisers selected 100 outstanding products and brands to award including the Top 10 Vietnamese product brands, Top 10 businesses using 60-70% locally-sourced components, and 80 other outstanding Vietnamese brands.

Speaking at the ceremony, President of the VFF Central Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan said five years since launching the campaign 'Vietnamese people prioritise Vietnamese goods' has helped change Vietnamese consumers' awareness of local products.

The VFF President urged relevant ministries, branches and localities to continue to promote their creativity to further popularise the campaign.

Enterprises should also accelerate scientific-technological applications while improving the quality and competitive edge of products and services, he noted.
